Photos from Scandinavia

Our latest trip to Scandinavia was in the summer of 2014. We traveled with our daughter, Christina, and grandchildren Björn and Sophia. Our Scandinavian experience began in Copenhagen. From there we took the train to Helsingborg, Sweden, where we rented a car and drove to several other cities in Southern Sweden, visiting relatives on the way. After turning in the car, we took the train to Stockholm, our final destination in Sweden.

The Nyhavn district in Copenhagen. It's a food and tourist destination now, but has not always been so.

We took the train over the Oresund bridge from Copenhagen into Helsingborg, Sweden. This photo overlooks the town of Helsingborg. You can look across the strait to Elsinore, Denmark.

One of the waterways in Stockholm, Sweden. The city of Stockholm consists of 14 islands.

We had coffee with our cousins in Stockholm prior to a boatride to the archipelago.

The archipelago consists of thousands of islands. This is one of the islands that we passed on the way to the summerhouse.

We saw this deer swim between two of the islands.
