This page is about all the entire Osterberg Clan, so I chose these pictures as a cover shot. One shows Walt & Chris with Walt's father David Osterberg (Pop or Farfar) and Walt & Chris' children, Sina and Dave. It was taken in 1965. The other shows most of the clan. It was taken in 1966.
Farfar came to the US in the early 1900's from Billnas, Finland. I believe at the time he left Finland it was a part of Sweden. The Osterbergs originated in centeral Sweden and we still have relatives there, I have no contact with them. All I know of the area of Sweden is that Farfar's grandfather Karl Fredrik Osterberg was born in Hed. Hed is (or was) a small farming area at the foot of lake Langsvan and north of the Hedstrommen river. It is about 40 Km west and 10 Km north of the large city of Vasteras. Karl Fredrik moved his family from Sweden to Billnas Finland 1872. Also, five of his brothers moved to USA in 1873. We have no contact with any of their decendents.
