The Lindseth farm in Norway was a small working farm. All I know of it is that it was in the position of my great-great grandfather Fredrik Torstensen Sveen. He was the father of my grandfather Alfred's mother. He and his wife (Margrete Petersdatter ) had only girls, so he left the farm to the family that produced the first grandson. That was my grandfather Alfred so that is how we got the Lindseth name. Grandpa's father took over the farm and Grandpa moved to the United States and started his own farm long before his father died, so he never worked the Lindseth farm. Most of the information I have on the Lindseth past came from Grandpa's cousin Ole Ableseth. Ole traced his mother's family back many generations.
